The healthcare landscape has undergone a remarkable transformation over the past 25 years, evolving from basic electronic health records to sophisticated AI-driven 
systems. This keynote presentation traces this evolution through firsthand experience in developing groundbreaking healthcare technologies, from the early days of the Artificial Pancreas Project to current innovations in predictive healthcare systems. Drawing from extensive research and practical implementation experience across industry, academia, and healthcare sectors, we examine how digital health solutions have laid the foundation for AI integration in healthcare delivery. 

The talk will explore key milestones in this journey, including the emergence of mobile health applications, the Internet of Medical Things (IoMT), and the current transition toward AI-enabled healthcare systems. Through real-world case studies, including the development of advanced outbreak prediction systems and non-invasive monitoring 
solutions, we'll investigate the challenges and opportunities in implementing AI-driven healthcare solutions.

Biography

Dr. Sasan Adibi is a distinguished leader in digital health innovation and healthcare technology, currently serving as founder and CEO of Research Vitality and Director of Digital Health & AI at Guidelines and Economists Network International (GENI). With over two decades of experience spanning healthcare, academia, and industry, he specializes in developing strategic solutions that bridge the gap between clinical practice and technological innovation.
At Research Vitality, he drives evidence-based program development and industry partnerships in digital health. His recent work focuses on developing predictive healthcare systems and AI-driven clinical decision support tools, while through GENI, Dr. Adibi leads initiatives that integrate AI advancements into healthcare delivery and policy frameworks.
Prior to his current roles, Dr. Adibi held senior positions at Austin Health and the Department of Health, where he led the development of the Outbreak Management System and managed strategic frameworks for a mesh of aged-care centers throughout the state of Victoria in Australia. His North American experience includes industry liaison of  multimillion-dollar healthcare technology projects at BlackBerry Corp., including the Artificial Pancreas Project. He holds a PhD in Communication and Information Systems and is PROSCI certified in change management.
